Denise Gore, president of OffSite Works, has more than thirty years experience in business development and management. She founded the company in 1994; it is the first to be recognized in the Small Business Administration’s new Home-Based Business Advocate of the Year category.

In 1990, Denise took her expertise in long-distance management and concentrated on a developing trend: telecommuting. She began consulting to help businesses identify what functions could be performed off-site and which employees were best-suited to work from a remote location, as well as developing performance measurement standards for teleworking employees. Her experience with area businesses and their need to find quality off-site professionals led to the development of OffSite Works.

Prior to founding OffSite Works, Denise worked in the direct sales industry. She built a five-state region, advancing from the first sales representative in Tennessee to regional vice president in charge of more than 3,000 reps, 100 managers and more than $40 million in annual sales. Working from her own home office, she gained significant experience managing people in distant locations.

As a speaker, Denise routinely addresses business groups on a number of topics including: telework issues, outsourcing strategies, small business and home-based business issues, hiring independent contractors, women in the workforce and workforce development.

Denise’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of Houston and graduate work in Media Studies with a Concentration in Technology and Science. Her graduate courses have all been uniquely achieved through on-line computer conferencing with New School University in New York.

Denise serves on the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, the West Area Business Council, the Watkins College of Art & Design Board and as one of Nashville Technology Council’s founding members.
